Stand Up

If there's one thing I've learned today, it's that you have to stand up for your beliefs no matter what. For so long I've worried to offend people so much that I would try to sound like I agreed with everyone. I felt like a chicken. Why? Why should I let people walk all over me? I'm supposed to be a light for Christ, and flip-flopping my opinion like a freshly caught fish does no good for me. Some people say that all Christians are hypocrites, and I want to prove otherwise. I feel that God has breathed some sort of supernatural strength into me. I wouldn't be able to fight for Him without His help.

Earlier today I was depressed, stressed out, and upset, but God has given me a feeling of peace.

I suppose I'll close with this scripture.

John 3
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. 19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Hello, everyone!

Hey everyone!

What a time to start a blog. It's Christmas eve and the new year is rolling around the corner. Time to start afresh- and keep those New Year's resolutions! I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I suppose I should tell you all a little about myself and this blog. My name is Emily(most people online call me Zazzy). I am a 15 year old girl who lives in Connecticut, out in the mountainous areas surrounded by woods. The closest large town is not far though. I am a Christian, and I am currently home schooled, as I have been all my life. I go to two churches. One is a local small Baptist Church(Northville Baptist Church), and the other is a large church called Faith Church. I consider both churches very close to me.

I started this blog to talk about my everyday life, church life, spiritual insights I learn, share my adventures and photos, and just to have a place to talk. I also want to track my growth in Christ. :) Hopefully a few people will follow my stories as I add new posts. I've had blogs before, but I've never been able to keep them very long. I'm definitely going to try to keep up with this one!
